Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Empress (the “Bot”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a Discord application operated by Lewee.

By using, inviting, interacting with, or otherwise accessing the Bot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bot.

1. Description of the Service

The Bot provides features that may include, depending on the configuration of a Discord server:

• AI-powered conversations and responses;
• multiple personalities or character-based interactions;
• roleplaying and game features;
• gacha, collection, or random-draw features;
• user and game progression;
• server-specific features and configuration;
• other features that may be added or removed over time.

Features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be permitted to use Discord and the Bot under Discord’s applicable terms and policies.

If you are not legally permitted to use a particular feature or service, you must not use that feature.

3. Discord

The Bot operates through Discord and is subject to Discord’s platform and community rules.

Your use of Discord remains governed by Discord’s own Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable policies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord unless explicitly stated otherwise.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Bot to:

• violate applicable laws or regulations;
• violate Discord’s rules or policies;
• harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot, its infrastructure, or another user’s data;
• interfere with or disrupt the Bot or its infrastructure;
• deliberately exploit bugs or vulnerabilities;
• use automated methods to abuse or overload the service;
• impersonate the Bot’s operator or another person;
• use the Bot to facilitate fraud, scams, or other unlawful activity.

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Bot, its users, Discord communities, or our infrastructure.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some responses produced by the Bot may be generated by artificial intelligence.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or inappropriate. You should not treat AI-generated content as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

You are responsible for deciding how you use information produced by the Bot.

The personalities and characters presented by the Bot are fictional interfaces or roleplaying personas unless explicitly stated otherwise. Statements made by a personality should not automatically be interpreted as statements or opinions of the Bot’s operator.

6. RPG Features

RPG features may maintain information such as character statistics, inventory, progression, quests, currency, or other game state.

Game state may be modified, reset, corrected, migrated, or removed when necessary to maintain or repair the service.

We do not guarantee that game progression or game data will always be preserved.

7. Gacha and Randomized Features

The Bot may provide virtual gacha, collection, or randomized game mechanics.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, virtual items, characters, currencies, and other rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real-world money.

Randomized outcomes are generated by the Bot’s software and may be subject to implementation changes, maintenance, or correction of errors.

The Bot does not guarantee that a particular item, character, or outcome will be obtained.

If paid features or purchases are introduced in the future, additional terms, disclosures, and applicable purchase or refund rules may apply.

8. User Content

You retain responsibility for content you submit through Discord or the Bot.

By submitting content to the Bot, you grant us the permissions reasonably necessary to process that content for the purpose of operating the Bot and providing its features.

We do not claim ownership of your original content merely because you submit it to the Bot.

9. Third-Party Services

The Bot may depend on or interact with third-party services, including Discord, AI model providers, hosting providers, databases, analytics services, or other infrastructure.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for outages, failures, or changes made by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

10. Availability

The Bot is provided on an ongoing-development basis.

We do not guarantee that the Bot will:

• always be available;
• be error-free;
• operate without interruption;
• retain every piece of stored data;
• support every Discord environment or configuration.

Features may be changed, suspended, or removed.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Bot when reasonably necessary, including when a user violates these Terms, abuses the service, attempts to compromise the service, or creates a security or operational risk.

You may stop using the Bot at any time.

12. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties except where such warranties cannot legally be excluded.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of AI-generated responses or game features for any particular purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or other losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bot.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Bot or its features change.

When we make significant changes, we may update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Bot or its website.

Your continued use of the Bot after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Republic of the Philippines, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
